Merry Christmas from Death Valley!

Well, the grinches in Washington have given us a stinker of a Christmas present. We were evicted from our scenic public campground in Death Valley National Park – on Christmas Eve, no less – when the National Park Service closed. Even though one party controls both houses of Congress and the presidency, that brain trust literally cannot figure out how to keep the lights on at the federal government. I hope they all get coal in their stockings.

We of course see no reason to let the gross incompetence of others ruin our holidays. We hopped into one of the private RV parks located in Death Valley so we can continue to enjoy the spectacular scenery of this remarkable park. It’s so great that even Santa comes here to prepare for his biggest night of the year. As proof, I offer the following incontrovertible photographic evidence:

We wish everyone a wonderful Christmas holiday and all the best for 2019!

  1. Sorry y’all got evicted, on Christmas no less. Maybe our Christmas wish of a less worthless government will come true this year. Probably not, but we can hope. Anyway, glad to see you’re making the best of it. Merry Christmas!

  3. Definitely stinks that you got evicted. Ridiculous government shenanigans! We got evicted from Yellowstone during the big shutdown in 2013. But it looks like you made the best of your time there—OMG your photos of Santa in Death Valley are hilarious! We recognize all of those places…we were there in December, but we didn’t see Santa. Lucky you!!
